Page 16, May 9, 1979 - North Shore News election countdown ee | Tothill blasts Socred neglect of handicapped Jev Tothill, Liberal candidate in North Van- couver-Seymour and Leader of the provincial Liberal Party, has blasted the Socred ’ government for ‘their penny-. pinching attitude in support of programs for the han- dicapped. “The government, more specifically Minister of Human Resources Bill Vander Zalm, ‘brags’ about under- spending in that Ministry to the tune of over 100 million dollars in the fiscal year just concluded (March 31), while at the same time services to the handicapped have been curtailed due to the failure of the government to adequately support such and former services,” Tothill charged.
