system to include most ready-
to-drink beverages (except
milk, milk substitutes, infant
om and meal replace-
ments).

“Our foal is to cut the
amount of garbage going into
B.C. landfills in half by the end
of the century,” said Sawicki.
“The beverage container strate-
gy is cridcal in helping us to
reach that goal.”
