A host of new diners has
opened recently or are on the
verge of opening along the
Lonsdale strip.

The Table Hopping team took
a recent microbus ride north on
Lonsdale to chronicle the new
spring explosion of life on
Lonsdale.

Below is an excerpt from the
srambling, notes taken during that
trip.

Chris Pantoleon opened
Hristos on May 2 in the location
occupied most recently by
Jochen Voss’ Anchor In.

Vass took over 1301 Lonsdale
in 1991 and, for three years,
turned out the hefty Germanic
food that the Anchor had served
. in its original location at ihe
“Lynnwood Marina, beneath the
north end of the Second Narrows
Bridge.

owned Paros Taverna in
Coquitlam, is confident that
Hristos will survive to a ripe old
restaurant age at the 13th Street
location.
