He was absent only once for four days with the flu. Although he taught French and Social Studies, he feft his mark most notably in the Music Department including outreach into the community ‘with the productions of eight operettas: Ermine, Don Alonso's Treasure, Tulip Time, “Ob Doctor!”, Carmen, Mocking Bird and HM. s. Pinafore. Wit was born in Cumbernauid, Scotland (near Glasgow} on March 7, 1893, Wil also served in the First World War for three years in the 8th Field Ambulance Corps. He enjoyed his career and subsequent long and happy retire ment. He was an avid gardener and builder, remaining very active and was up on the ladder doing roof repairs at age 95.
