and John is shocked at how his fa-

ed. After years of allowing his wife
to do everything for him, from lay-
ing out his clothes to buttering his
danish, Jake has become a shadow
of a man.

Determined to make up for lost
time, John encourages his dad to
get a handle on life — renew his
driver's licence, take up bingo
again, enjoy household chores.

The revitalized Jake pleases
everyone but his wife who worked
so hard tc get him docile in the
first place (some of the best lines
are her caustic one-liners).
