peared in North and West Van-
couver provincial courts recently to
face various charges laid against
them.

Before Jadge J.B. Paradis in
North Vancouver provincial court
on June 21:

Joseph Andre Aussant was fined
$150 after the 23-year-old Co-
quitlam “man pleaded guilty to
theft under $1,000 in connection
with an Apri! 10 theft of cigarettes
from Woolco. -

Larry Albert Cocomile received
a conditional discharge and was
placed on probation for nine
months after the 42-year-ola North
Vancouver man was found guilty
on two assault counts laid against
him in connection with March 22
and April 2 incidents in which a
female ‘was assaulted.

Brian Thomas Slater was fined
$300 after the 28-year-old Yan-
couver man pleaded guilty to
possession of marijuana in connec-
tion with a May 1 drug seizure.

Mark Terrance George was fined
$150 after the 31-year-old: North
Vancouver. man pleaded guilty to
possession of. cocaine in. connec-
tion with a May 4 4 drug seizure.

Boris Ritchie was fined $200 and
placed on probation for three
months after the 40-year-old North
Vancouver man pleaded guilty to
using a cheque that he knew was
forged. The charge was laid
against him in connection with an
Aug. 17, 1988 incident.

In addition to the fine, Ritchie
was ordered to pay $112.75 in
testitution to Lioyds Bank of
Canada.

Before Judge W.J. Diebolt ‘in
North Vancouver provincial court
on June 19:

Kevin Michael Johnson was fin-
ed $300 and placed on probation

for six months after the 20-year- '

old Burnaby man was found guilty
of assaulting another male in con-
nection with a July 23, 1988 inci-
dent in North Vancouver.

Before Judge J.B. Paradis in
North Vancouver provincial court
on June 16:

Kelly Marie Campbell received a
conditional discharge and was
placed on probation for six months
after the 25-year-old North Van-
couver woman was found guilty of
theft under $1,000 in connection
with an April 27 incident in which
merchandise was stolen from
Canada Safeway Ltd.

Siamak Esfahani received a
conditional discharge and was
placed on probation for nine
months after the 31-year-old man
of no fixed address was found
guilty of theft under $1,000 in
conzection with a June 12 incident
in which food was stolen from the
7-Eleven store at Third Strect and
Chesterfield Avenue.

North Vancouver provincial court
on Jone 15:

Craig Thomas Russell was plac-
ed on probation for one year and
ordered to pay $316 in restitution
to the victim after the 19-year-old
New Westminster man was found

Sayers

guilty of possession of stolen
property in connection with a Nov.
6, 1988 incident in which a Dodge
Colt was recovered.

Before Judge J.B. Paradis in
North Vancouver provincial court
on June 25:

Ricky Daniel Gulbrandsen was
fined $200 after the 31-year-old
Vancouver man pleaded guilty to
possessing cocaine in connection
with a May 25, 1988 drug seizure
in North Vancouver.

Frederick Lewis received a con-
ditional discharge and was placed
on probation for four months after
the 18-year-old North Vancouver
man pleaded guilty to possessing
marijuana in connection with a
March 22 drug seizure.

Anthony Frejio Sorenson was
fined $100 after the 28-year-old
North Vancouver man pleaded
guilty to mischief in connection
with a Sept. 9, 1988 incident in
which the back windows of a 1977
Volkswagen Sirocco were broken.

Before Judge J.K. Shaw in North
Vancouver provincial court on
June 14: .

Neil Stephen Abell was fined
$100 after the 19-year-old Van-
couver man pleaded guilty to fail-
ing to appear for a scheduled court
date.

Alan Mark Sherwood received a
conditional discharge and was
placed on probation for one year
after the 26-year-old North Van-
couver man pleaded guilty to theft
under $1,000 in connection with
the theft of a purse.

He was also ordered to pay
$39.95 in compensation to the vic-
tim.
