Residents protest improvement process

Road plan to take North Vancouver District Council to task
Monday night over the alleged mishandling of a petition

submitted to the municipality

calling for a stop to proposed

road reconstruction in the area.

The district has proposed $1.6
million worth of construction, in-
cluding road, water and sidewalk
work, on portions of Strathcona
and Roxbury roads. Residents fear
the upgrade will result in faster
traffic, the destruction of a coun-
try atmosphere in the area and
unwanted parking bays.
