F YOUR child is entering school for the first

time this year or enrolled in a primary grade,

consider this advice from BCAA: take advan-
tage of the warm, fall weather to teach them safe
walking rules—and on rainy days, provide them
with well-fitting, reflective raingear.

and meet them afterward. If
they take the bus, walk with
them to the bus for the first
few days.and meet them at
the stop when they arrive
home. Get started in plenty
