Accountability key says Grit

‘REGULAR TOWN
hall-style meetings for
on-going accountability
and feedback.’’

That was the promise of
Capilano Libera! candidate,
Dave Brousson, at a large
meeting Sunday evening in
West Vancouver.

‘“‘My experience as an
MLA taught me that the
residents of my riding want
to know on a regular basis
what | am doing for them
and what government is plan-
ning and doing.”

Brousson added, ‘‘It is
equally important to provide
a means whereby residents
can give feedback opinion
and suggestions on their
needs and how government is
serving them. It is essential
that such communication
should be a two-way street.

‘*People must have the op-
portunity to express their opi-
nions directly to their
representative,’’ he added.
‘This is why I will schedule
regular meetings at conve-
nient times and locations in
Capilano.”’

In commenting on his
strength of leadership and ex-
perience, Brousson pointed
to his record of fighting for
his constituents and promised
he would continue this as an
M.P.

Other items promised in-
cluded a regular newsletter,
eontinuing constituency of-
fice to provide personal ser-
vice and information and use
of referendum-style question-
naires on items of special in-
terest and situations affecting
large numbers of the public.
