THERE ARE only . three Scottish country dance bands in North America — and one of: them is based on the. North Shore. The band. is Schiehallion.. (from the Gaelic Sidh - chail - lion, Caledonia’s Hill), and its music has sold well even in Scotland, where its two records have been played on the BBC. Schiehallion has been in constant demand at Scottish — country dance functions since the group was founded in 1975, says Ian Price, a founding member of the group.
