‘Granander named as All-Star

CARSON Graham
Eagles finished fifth in

the 27th annual B.C.

triple-A Boys’ Soccer

Championships.

Playing on the artificial
turf fields at Livingstone Park
in Vancouver, the Eagles
-moved on to the champi-
onship round after finishing in
second place in the tcurna-
ment round robin.

In round robin play,
Carson bianked Killarney 3-
nil, outplayed  Victoria’s
Spectrum 4-1, and lost to
eventual runners-up
Centennial, of Coquitlam, 2-
0. In that game, the Centaurs
scored both their markers in
the last 10 minutes of the
game. In championship round
action, the Eagles shutout
Surrey’s Tamanawis (2-0) and

Burnaby North (3-0).

tournament first-team all-star
squad, while fellow Eagle
Tom Larisch was given honor-
able mention.

The-three day, 16-team
tournament was played Nov.
25-27 after being delayed a
full week due to snow render-
ing fields unplayable in
Abtorsford, the original site
of the B.C. Championships.

THREE North Shore swimmers are currently in
Toronto taking part in the prestigious Mark

Tewksbury Swim Camp.

Chena Swim Club members Andrea Donohoe and Kristine
Lowrie, and Dolphin Swim Club’s Chuck Sayao are among 24
Canadian swimmers that were invited to take part in the tour
day camp from Dec 4 to Dec. 8.

In addition, Chena Swim Club coach Chris Givens is one of
three coaches attending the camp.
