12 — Wednesday, December 20, 1995 — North Shore News day in court _ THE FOLLOWING people appeared in North and West Vancouver courts recently to face various charges: Before Judge Doug Moss in North Vancouver provincial court on Nov. 1: Ame Thor Juvik, 45, of North Vancouver, was jailed four months and had his driver's licence sus- pended for two years after he pleaded guilty to driving while pro- hibited on March 29 in North Vancouver City. ‘The jail sentence was to run at the same time as another sentence. The jail sentence was recommend- ed served by electronic monitoring. Before Judge K.J. Libby in North Vancouver provincial court on Oct. 30: Richard George Hunter, 36, of North Vancouver, was jailed 14 days after he pleaded guilty to breaching a recognizance by failing to attend court in Vancouver on June 2, 1994. Before Judge Ellen Burdett in North Vancouver provincial court on Oct. 26: William David McInnes, 19, of North Vancouver, was jailed 14 days after he pleaded guilty to stealing a Nintendo Game Boy belonging to Sears Canada on May 23 in North Vancouver City. The jail sentence was to run at the same time as another jail sen- tence he was serving. Robert James Pickerill, 20, of North Vancouver, was jailed three months after he pleaded guilty to assaulting a woman on June 10 in North Vancouver City. The jail sentence was to be served after the jail sentence he was serving at the time of sentencing. Pickerill’s two-page criminal record was presented in court. Before Judge Jerry Paradis in North Vancouver provincial court on Oct. 26: Noel Peter Nanson, 18,.of North Vancouver, was fined $100 after he * pleaded guilty to being a minor ina ‘liquor store at 2601 Westview Dr. on April 7 in North Vancouver City. Before Judge Ellen Burdett in North Vancouver provincial court on Oct. 24: Ann Cochrane, 53, of West . Vancouver, was fined $200 after « she pleaded not guilty to impaired, but instead pleaded guilty to the “ Jesser or included offence of dri- ving without due care and atten- tion, The original charge stemmed from a Jan. 8, 1994 incident in North Vancouver City.
