be done to prevent this from

@ Color plays a major role in the

@ image of a garment. However, not
all fabrics acquire their color in the same way.
Some fabrics are woven from dyed yarns,
some are dyvd after the yarns are woven,
and the fabries have color printed directly
onto the surface. As these process vary, so
do their required methods of cleaning. Color
loss occurs when the dye or color of the fab-
tic comes into contact with an oxidizing or
bleaching agent such as: hair care products,
household cleaning and bleaching agents,
some acne preparations, skin lotions and
medicines. To help prevent color loss, try to
protect your garments from exposure to such
chemicals. Exposure to artificial ght and
sunlight is the major cause of color loss, Ask
your cleaner before using any bleaching
products, as the damage may be irreversible.
