CAP COLLEGE FALL SEMESTER
Computer graphics course offered

A HANDS-ON introduction to the
production of microcomputer
graphics is being offered in Media
082, a course being held this fall at
Capilano Coliege.

no experience an introduction to
computers, an introduction to
basic computer programming, and
an introduction to computer

BREAST CANCER is the focus of
a new group recently formed on
the North Shore called Bosom
Buddies.

Several volunteers, from the
Mastectomy Rehabilitation Pro-
gram, realizing the need for a posi-
tive self help group with emphasis
on fellowship and education held
meetings last February and May.

Depending on interest, future
meetings can include a variety of
programs, such as: nutrition, pro-
fessionals from the medical or
social services fields, and fashion.

People in need of, or who have a
friend or relative who would ap-
preciate the support and en-
couragement of Bosom Buddies,
can join the next meeting Tues.,
Sept. 9, 7:30 p.m. at North Lons-
dale United Church Lounge, Up-
per Lonsdale.

TIMEX CANADA recently pres-
ented Diane Barry of North Van-
couver with the key to a Pontiac
Fiero.

Barry could hardly believe it. ‘I
rarely enter contests, but this one

dents cover the design and produc-
tion of stills and simple animation
on Apple Ile computers and
graphics tablets. Hardware and
software are provided by the college.

“This course is relevant to peo-
ple from various backgrounds,
such as those involved in media
and graphic arts, educators, or
peopie who are just getting into
computers.’’ savs Blitstein.

and Thursday evenings from 7 to
