This year during the week
of April 30-May 8 Brownies,
Guides and Pathfinders in
B.C. will be calling on homes
to offer cookies to the
general public.

Cookies are the one main
appeal made by the Girl
Guides in B.C. It will help
support all levels of Guiding.
In the Lions Area which
stretches from Deep Cove
through the North Shore, the
Sunshine Coast and
Garibaldi, there are 2661
Guiding members — _ this
includes 2200 girls ages 6-18
in 120 Units and 331 Guiders
(Adult Leaders).

Guiding is alive and strong
in B.C. The aim of Girl
Guides of Canada is to give
opportunity to girls to
become responsible citizens
and introduce them to the
out of doors.

Brownies are girls from
ages 6-9 years. Guides are
girls from ages 9-12,
Pathfinders ages 12-15 and
Rangers, Cadets and Jr.
Leaders 15 and up.
