Artists set summer
stage on N. Shore

COMMUNITY concerts provide the
sounds of summer for residents of
the North Shore.

Live outdoor performances take place in
parks and other public places from Deep Cove
to Dundarave through July and August.

West Vancouver's parks and recreation
department is again sponsonng Concerts by the
Sea, free concerts at Ambleside Landing, John
Lawson Park and the West Vancouver Seniors”
Centre.

This Sunday, July 19, Paul Schmidt will play
the seniors’ centre at 1:30 p.m., while Nigel
Mack and the Blues Attack will take the stage,
7 p.m. at Ambleside Landing. Concerts contin-
ue weekends through the end of August.

Lonsdale Quay ts also continuing its tradi-
tion of live entertainment outdoors. Italian love

and Bavarian compa pa are among the treats
instore tor weekend visitars to the Quay.

Yhis is the titth vear that North Vancouver
Districr’s parks department has mounted its
Concerts in the Cove series. Every Friday
through fuly and August, local bands take the
stage from 7 to 9 pam. at Deep Cove’s
Panorama Park.

Latin, tolk, jazz, Celie and Cayun music is
onthe roster, This Friday, July 17, blues band
R&B Conspiracy piays the park.

New this vear is the Summer at the Station
concert series, co-sponsored by the North Van
Museum and Archives, North Shore Arts
Commission and North Vancouver Recreation
Commission, Live music performances are
every Sunday trom 2 to 4 p.m. through July
and August at the Pacific Great Eastern Stanion
at the foot of Lonsdale, with visual art displays
from noon to 2 pan. Pertorming this coming
Sunday will be the Bluesberries. Potter Jack

Ploesser is the featured artist.

® THE U.3.C. DIVISION OF DERMATOLOGY is seeking volunteers with moderate to severe psoriasis
who are not currently receiving medical treatment for psoriasis.

We are testing a potential new therapy to treat psoriasis that works by modifying immune
teactions in the skin.

This study will involve weekly visits, lab tests and 8 intravenous drug treatments.

Requirements ALL TREATMENTS ARE FREE. HONORARIUM
