Call the centre at 987-3922 and leave your name and address so they can send you the counting forms, then just see how many birds and species you can find in your back yard cn the 20th. If you don't have a garden, or if you're out of room, the District of North Vancouver and the North Shore Recycling Pregram inave teamed up to make sure you'll have a place to bring your live Christmas tree in the new year. The district will be ‘‘adopting’”’ Christmas tees for planting on the site of the now-closed Premier Street landfill. Representatives from the Lynn Canyon Ecology Centre, Nerth Van parks department and the recycling program will be on hand to help with siting and planting the trees. The ‘‘almest-for-sure’’ date is Saturday, Jan. 16, and = tree owners are asked to bring their own shovel and work gloves. ‘neelbarrows will be provided.
