During the three weeks the group will also visit musical shrines, museums, and places of musical interest as well as attend ‘performances in British and European concert halls and opera houses. . IN LAST week's question we asked if you'd support a youth dance club and what kinds of music and facilities you’d like to see. } thick teenagers enjoy music and dancing and this dance club would give them the op- portunity to get together and enjoy both of those activities. Any kind of music would be all tight — pop, rap, whatever they like — they should have a D.J. and be able to make sug- gestions and have a bar where you can get pop and non- alcoholic drinks of course. I definitely think it would be a good idea. Yeah, they should have a dance club because right now there’s nothing to do and there’s really no places to go so I need to go somewhere. I think they should play mostly heavy metal but play some rap. Usually my mom squawks when I*m hang- ing around. I think they should play just about all music and I think it shouid be from 13 to 18 and not 15 to 18 like it said in the North Shore News. Thanks. E wouldn’t go because if you open up a youth club for about 12 to 18, a lot of head bangers are going to hang out there, skinheads, you know, gangs and all that, and it's not going to be very safe. A lot of peo- ple, the 18-year-olds, will be doing drugs, like the skinheads and all that. lt’s not very safe and it’s going to be a bad at- mosphere, if that’s the kind of youth club you're thinking of, like dancing and all that. Unless ‘the man at the Bate draws the line so you can’t be a skinhead or something like that. but I wouldn’t go if it was open to anybody. It would just be too dangerous and you'd totally have to go with your friends, loads of them just to stay safe. I wouldn't go if it was the public. To have a youth dance club is pretty good and I think they should play rap and heavy” metal, but only heavy metal rap like Body Count and Ice-T and stuff fike that. Right now I'm hanging out at Karen Magnussen, so we need places to go so [ think it would be a good idea. . I think [ would go to that youth thing; I think it sounds like a tot of fun. I think it’s a cool idea to have a dance club on Lonsdale. I went to a dance club, an awesome club and FE think we should do this.
