other nutritional questions are the
basis of a new service for vrocery

shoppers called SNAP —
Safeway's Nutrition Awareness
Program.

Begun three years avo in the
United States, SNAP inciudes free,
bi-monthly mayazines aad monthly
brochures focussing on specific
nutritional issues such as fad diets,
fast meals and feeding toddlers or
teenagers.

To kick off SNAI's Canadian
campaign, Safeway invited local
nutritionists, ritness feaders and
health-care professionals to a
“calcium-rich’' funch based on
recipes in the premiere issue of
