Jazz benefit

THE West Vancouver Foundation
hosts an evening of jazz Wednesday,
Nov. 5

The event takes place at 7 pan. in Park
Royal's north mall.

Vancouver jazz artist Sibel Thrasher and the
instrumental ensemble Sassabrass will set the
tone for the evening.

A buffer dinner, silent and live auctions, and
door prize are included in the ticket price.

Proceeds from the evening will go to North
Shore Search and Rescue.

ST. Christopher’ 's choir director Lesley Sutherland debuts The Ark, a musicai pre-
sentation based on the poetry of Carmen Bernos De Gasztold’s Prayers from the
Ark. Sutherland's choral composition, which incorporates readings from Prayers,
is presented Saturday, Nov. 1, 7 p.m. at the church, 1068 Inglewood Ave., West
Van. Tickets ($10 for adults; $7, students and seniors; $2.50, children under 12)
