Valentine’s eve? Not for some North Shore residents,
who say their neighbor’s cosy fire is making them sick.
People with asthma and | respiratory problems are most
affected but others point out that the discharge of
: sos tesins, ash and carcinogens are a serious health risk to
inquiring everyone. It was a hot topic before North Vancouver
yeporter Discrict Council Monday, but council ultimately decid-
ed it nad bigger logs to burn. Most peopic we spoke to
agreed, citing auto and industrial pollution as more pressing issues than wood
smoke. So snuggle up to that wood fire while you can: District Coun. Ernie Crist
has vowed to reopen the issue in a few months. We asked you: “Do you support

There’s so much pollution
