The driver, a 27-year-old

over by West Vancouver
Police Aug. 27 on the Upper
Levels Highway near the
Westinount Road exit. The
motorist. at the wheel of a
former police c + still outfit-
ted with a prisuner’s cage,
carried @ 10-round clip in a
22-calibre rifle and seven
rounds of ammunition in the
Sur, according to a West
Vancouver Police spokes-
man.

The rifle and ammunition
were seized. The former
police car was from the
United States.

The motorist faces firearm
charges in connection with
the incident. His name was
not released to press time.
