Elders, purents and children, many of whom received their first touch of fife from his hands, listened as Hassan told the crowd, “While T will cease to be your doctor, UIE always be your friend. You haven'h seen the last af me yet.” In a shortened version of a naming ceremony, Ulassan was wrapped ina ceremonial blanket while members of the audience were called by Chief Lawrence lkaker (Sekyu), to act as witnesses to the new nang. The doctor began his medical career on staff .at Lions Gate Hospital in 1962.
