Larry's had won the first two games in the series before Cottrell defeated them 3-2 on Friday. In that game John Wiltsie gave Cottrell a 1-O lead heading into the third penod of a close checking match. Tom Lee and Dave Johnson then put Larry's ahead 2-1 before Pete Jelinek tied the game for Cottrell. Dan Keler got the game winner with seven minutes to go and Cottrell goalie Jerry Hack kept Rowdies beat THE ROWDIES beat the Finches in West Vancouver Grass Hockey playoffs on the weekend 5-1 Andrea May and Carolyn Baradino each scored twice Larry’ the best Larry's from tying the game up. In Saturday's game, Rick Chartier scored the first goal for Larry's before Ed O'Leary got the first of two goals to tie the game for Cottrell. Dave Johnson scored to give Larry's a 2-1 lead after two penods, but O'Leary scored his second goal to tie the game 2-2 early in the third. Danny Van Os scored the game winner and Johnson got the insurance goal with less than a minute to go in a very exciting match. Larry's goaltender Ken Williams deserves a lot of credit for Larry's cham- pionship, having played well all season.
