A representative of the provincial government has had his knuckles rapped for the second time in two months, - for prematurely anouncing an agreement on a new Seymour River crossing. Late last month, highways minister Alex Fraser _an- nounced that “an agreement has been reached.” But at the North Van- couver District council meeting Monday, Mayor Don Bell said the District is still awaiting a response from the Squamish Band on the latest draft of the agreement. In reference to Fraser's statement, Bell. said “I am not aware that any agreement has been signed at this time.” He said that while the municipality and. the band. had -an “agreement in principle, the ink is not on the pages.” But Bell said he expected the agreement to be finalized shortly.
