Wildlife biologist John Bindernagel says he realizes fhe risks being riducufed for saying so publicly, but thinks there is enough scientific evidence to conclude the hairy creature lives in the Pacific Northwest. ‘‘There’s evidence out there, sightings, stories, tracks, even film footage,”’ Bindernagel said in a recent interview, ‘To me, that’s satisfactary evidence that there is such an anima! as the sasquatch.” He added that in 1992, while visiting a friend’s cabin on Van- couver {sland, he heard what he believes to be sasquatch mating calls. ‘We knew they weren't bird, they weren't wolf and there’s No coyote on the island,’’ he said.
