Hike in the
Stein Valley

INTERMEDIATE TO advanced
hikers can join Eagle Harbour
Community Centre in an explora-
tion of the Stein Valley, Aug, 25
to 30.

The trip will be expertly guided
and geared to those who are physi-
cally fit, experienced hikers.

The centre invites participants to
‘‘stroll along the beautiful
Heritage Trail and observe this liv-
ing museum of cultural and natu-
ral history. Photograph pic-
tographs on rocks, vistas of sur-
rounding watersheds and alpine
meadows, feel the cool of the lush
green forests and cascading water-
falls.”’

There will be an orientation
meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 9 at 7
p.m. Those interested in attending
should pre-register by calling the
centre at 921-7425, Eagle Harbour
Centre is located at 5575 Marine
Dr., West Vancouver.

Waterpark bus
service available

A NEW bus service is now
Operating from the North Shore to
the Tsawwassen summer waterslide
attraction Splashdown Park.

Richmond Coach Lines provides
the one-day package that includes
round-trip transportation and
waterslide admission for $12.95 for
riders aged 11 and up, and $9.75
for riders aged four to 10.

Daily service leaves from the
West Vancouver Recreation Centre
at 8:20 a.m., returning at 5 p.m.,
and from RecCentre Lonsdale at
8:40 a.m., returning at 4:40 p.m.
