anti-skateboarding bylaw for the
last several months in response to
complaints from) senior citizens
who worry about the
skateboarders darting in and out
of pedestrian traffic along North
Vancouver City streets.

Dean is also concerned about
possible damage suites against the
city that might result from
skateboard accidents.

The board that hit Dean fell
from a balcony outside a restau-
rant on the market’s second floor
after a four-year-old boy pushed
the board out from underneath
David Stewart's foot.

Stewart, 13, had = placed the
skateboard on the floor and was
holding it with his foot while he
spoke with members of his family.
