The sketch club has been a
focus for West Van. artists
for almost 40 years, having
been founded in 1947, Its ob-
jective is to promote a greater
interest in and the apprecia-
tion of fine art, while en-
couraging local talent.

The club currently has a
membership of over 200.
Regular members are entitled
to submit paintings, twice a
year, for jurying. If selected,
the paintings are displayed ai
either the Spring or Fall show
at Park Royal. Members’
works are also displayed at
the Hollyburn -Club,
Municipal Hail and various
businesses throughout the
community.
