NEWS photo Cindy Boilam, COLLEGE BASKETBALL New Zealand beats the Blues NEW ZEALAND won a victory over the Capilano College Blues men’s basketball team _ recently beating them 67-57. New Zealand’s older team pulled away late in the game played at Delbrook Rec Centre, when the Blues failed to get the ball inside on offense and went cold from the outside shooting. John Adie scored 12 points for New Zealand while Rick Willete and Richard Oiter scored 16 and 13 points Blues. The game was close throughout, with both teams playing excellent defense. At half time the score was New Zealand 35, Capilano, 32. The Blues played without their pint-size scoring sensation, 5°5” Shelly Dobbins from Detroit, who was ineligible to play in the game.
