Bubble, bubble

BUBBLY IS the traditional
New Year's beverage, all too
often cheap froth paured into a
system over-taxed with food
and wine; the coupe de grace.
harbinger of the Death Wish
Hangover.

There are any number of good
‘champagne punch’ recipes about in
which inexpensive fuddle-duck can
be put to better use. The following
“Navy Punch” is one you might
want to consider serving in lieu of
the usual round of suspects that
appear on the counter top.

Take four cans of pineapple
chunks or rings, juice and all, and
pour a bottle of Captain Morgan's
Spiced rum over them. !ace the lot
with Sugar and ivt it steep for a day

brandy if you like to live dangerous-
