Brothers, an original musical students of Sentinel!’s drama
department are mounting at Park Royal Theatre. The space was
proviced free of charge to the school by Park Roya! Shopping

Centre.

PRODUCER CHRIS Georgas calls
it “a viable alternative” to Roger
and Hammerstein's classic and, of
fate, controversial musical, Show
Boat. The “‘it” in question is an
original musical that students of
Sentinel Secondary open tonight
called The Blues Brothers, a work
that centres on a day in the life of
‘a group of high school students.
Georgas, a geography teacher,
and social studies instructor Rob
Millard co-wrote the script, with
music direction by Michael Toth.

“They've (Sentinel drama
department) done Bye Bye Birdie
and Grease to death,’ says
Georgas. ‘This is revolutionary.”

For the last two weeks, students
have been transforming the former
Park Royal Cinemas (courtesy of
Park Royal management), building
a stage, bringing in sets and props,
a sound system and lights. The
100-member cast and 30-member
band will continue the show’s run
until May 1 at 7:30 p.m. For tick-
