Utilities Division for a Trades 2-Electrician. The position in-
volves installation, maintenance and repair electrical work
al the journeyman level within District buildings, structures,

and facilities.

The incumbent will install, inspect, adjust, test and main-
tain electricat/electronic controls, alarms, motors, pumps,
and electrical wiring. Problem solving, responding to
emergency calls, blue print reading, record keeping and
supervision of one or more helpers as required is also in-

valved.

Applicants should have Grade 12 supplemented by
technical courses and completion of a recognized appren-
ticeship in the trade plus considerable elated journeyman
experience. The successful candidate will have a sound
knowledge of the Electrical Code of BC., knowledge of the
hazards and necessary safety precautions related to the
work, a valid Class 5 B.C. Driver's Licence, and an ability
to deal effectively with other employees and members of
the public. Knowledge of electricatielectronic controts
telated to pumps.is especially important. Knowledge of
maintenance management progranis woule be ari asset.

Salary lo $19.24 per hour (1990 rates} based on a 40 hour
week. An attractive fringe benefit is aiso availabte.
