WV man mugged

WEST VANCOUVER police are
cautioning peuple to stay in well-
lit areas when walking through
parks at night after an 18-year-old
man was mugged in John Lawson
Park at about 1 a.m. Saturday
morning.

Police report that the victim
was walking through the park
with a friend when four youths
got out of a vehicie and proceeded
to punch and urinate cn the man
before stealing his wallet.

The suspects then fled on foot
towards 16th Street.

Restaurateur Louis Stervinou passes away

PROMINENT VANCOUVER
Testaurateur bouts Stersinou died
Monday night after a heart attack.
He was £9.

A resident of West Vancouver.
Mr. Stervinou wits born in France
and trained in the restaurant
business in Europe.

Before moving to Canada, Mr.
Stervinow lived first in New York
and then in Hawaii where he was

the maitre d* of the Monarch
Room at the Roval Hawanan. It
was there that he met and married
bis wite, Jeannie.

Miro Stersinou later worked at
one of Hawaii's oldest hotels, the
Hikai, before mosing in 1966 to
Vancouver where he manaeed the
Carriage Room and the Seafood

He eventally opened and ran his
