Cap expands

CAPILANO COLLEGE’S
non-credit group piano in-
struction using the Robert
Pace Method will be
avaliable at an additional
Jocation in 1985/86 and in-
cludes two new programs.

The very popular Pace
Piano instruction for
Children (age 7 to 9) will
now be offered at Seycove
Community School for the
convenience of families liv-
ing in the Deep Cove,
Dollarton, and Mount
Seymour. areas. Classes are
also.held at Capilano Col-
lege, St. Catherine’s
Anglican Church in North
Vancouver, and Klee Wyck
in West Vancouver.

In addition, both younger
and older students will
benefit from the introduc-
tion of two new  pro-
grams—the Pace
Preparatory Program and
Pace for Adults.

The Pace Preparatory
Program is designed
especially for six-year-olds
and involves two group
lessons of 45 minutes each
per week, with only four
students to a group. When
the child moves into the first

studying for a full year

hibited throughout the
Lower Mainland and in the
Interior with. great success.
A reception for the artist will
be held at the Vancouver
East Cultural Centre, July 7
2-4 p.m.

Instructional materials for

this method have been
developed by Dr. Robert
Pace, a noted musical
educator. Fundamentals are
emphasized from the very
first lesson so that the child
does not jearn by rote but
understands the concepts
and applies them at all times
to the music being learned.
