that they have no intention
of doing so. If this ‘2-hour’
parking law must be in ef-
fect, why can they not give
registered tenants permit
stickers for their cars to
prove they live there, as they
do in Vancouver. Personally

I am getting very annoyed .

with my weekly parking

On behalf of the North
Shore Volunteers. for

Residents in Nursing and
Rest Homes we would ask
for the hospitality of your
column to pay public tribute
to all those who contributed
to the success of Wood-
ward’s ‘‘Operation
Wheelchair” which took
place on November 18, 1981
between 6:00 and 9:00 p.m.
Woodward's opened their
doors to the elderly and the
handicapped.

Special thanks should go
to Aileen Colcleugh, staff
nurse, Lee Gillis, employee
who arranged pick-ups and
volunteers from Bata Sigma
Phi Sorority, and _ store
manager, John Carpenter.

therapist who conducted a
training session in handling
wheelchairs to the Sea
Cadets who met the buses
and assisted people into the
store, to the Francescans,
store volunteers and all
others who pushed the
wheelchairs or lent an arm to
those who were walking: our

hearty thanks. The
restaurant was ably manned
by the Salvation Army.

It was a magical and
memorable cvening, with
that special feeling that
develops because of the

loving care of so many
people.
