of Forbes Avenue will soon
be given a degree of safety,
as North Vancouver City
council has passed a motion
for the installation of ap-
proximately 100 feet of
guardrail for that part of the
Avenue north from
Esplanade,

In the past vehicles have
occasionally had trouble
negotiating the bend in that
area, and there were reports
of one carport being struck
three times in one year by
such vehicles, while another
householder in the area has
had cars end up in his
garden. .

Council approved an

expenditure of ap-
proximately $1850 to build
the guardrail and widen the
existing sidewalk in the area.
