In July, the private counselling group Easton and Snelgrove is again offering a teen support group called On Being A Teen...A Chance To Talk About It. Leading the group will be Beth Helsey of North Vancouver. Helsey is a therapist who does family, relationship and individual counselling. The winner of the North Shore Youth Ambassador Award (male or female) wili have a chance te compete in the PNE Youth Ambassador Competition in August. The North Shore contest is for youths age 16% to 21 and candidates must have been a North Shore resident for six months or more. It will showcase public speaking and talent and will take place on Monday, July 27 at 7 p.m. at the Centennial Theatre in North Vancouver. Deadline for entering the contest is Sunday, June 28.
