of on-track excite-

driver training school.

This year’s two-and-a-half
day session is set for March

Wrangler to Dakar

WHILE it's true an overland trek to Dakar from the Nerth Shore is unlikely (not to mention impossible), there's
no harm in being prepared. Jeep designers took their four-door 1997 Wrangler and created the rough and
ready Jeep Dakar concept vehicle.

Driving courses get in gear

29 and 36 at Mission
Raceway.

The course is the first step
in getting a racing licence,
and is designed to build
advanced driving skills. In
addition to an evening ciass-
room session, participants
will get one-on-one in-car
time with a qualified instruc-
tor.

By the conclusion of the
course, students will be
familiar with race proce-

dures, correct seating posi-
dion, shifting technique, late
braking, apexing and other
race driving skills.

And though this course is
designed as a prelude to
going racing, many drivers
have tzken the course just to
make them more comfort-
able driving city roads.
