designer? A quick call to rhe
store confirmed that Lautard’s
interest was genuinely that of 1
satisfied customer.

Royal North, has
recently introduced an
interesting eight-piece
outdoor clothing system
under the name EBTEK
(pronounced “cee-bee-
teck”),

Each piece can be bought
by itself. All eight can de com-
bined in about 150 ways, to
suit your needs of the moment.

The system starts with a
lightweight ripstop _nylon/
Gore-Tex waterproof’ parka,
jacket and pants.

There are several inter-
changeable zip-in liners — vest,
jacket, or parka style, that can
also be worn alone. They can
be had in a selection of down
filled, poly-filled, or soft fuzzy

Polartee fleece. The pants
don't: have ¢ip-in- liners, but
should suit skiers ta. a “T.”

Every piece of the ERTEE
system has numerous thoughr-
hilly designed features.

For example, ar the lapel
tps there are little pockets for
the zipper tabs, so if you're
wearing a finer, the zipper tabs
don’t irritate your cheeks.
There are lots of secure pockets
inside and our, underarm zip-
pers fcovered with velcro
secured flaps) to provide extra
ventilation, and reverse pocket
flaps to keep out rain and snow.
There are draw-strings on the
jacket and liners, ditto for the
parka and liners. And every
piece — anything from blue to
bnght orange or yellow — can
be laundered ar home and
tumbled dry.

Prices? Well, the parka is a
couple of hundred bucks less
than some of the competition.
And if you ever have a com-
plaint about an Eddie Bauer
product, take it back. Period. If
you know somebody who can
