C8C-TV film crews were in North Vancouver recently at the

Lynn Valiey Mall shooting the movie version of Vancouver
writer Evelyn Lau’s book, Runaway: Diary of A Street Kid.
The documentary-style movie is a dramatic recounting of a
young, talented artist's search for an identity and voice. Ot-
tawa native Sandra Ob (pictured right with Wendy Van
Riesen and director Sturla Gunnarsson) plays Lau. The cast
‘includes Kenneth Welsh, Jay Brazeau and Eugene Lipinski.
