WE WERE Statistics show that smoking in high schools is as common as ever, especially among the young women. The reasons for smoking despite the health risk include peer Pressure and weight loss. Do you smoke? Do you think other people should? Last week we asked if you went to the Indy car races, and if you think they should be held here again. I definitely think the Indy should be held next year. It’s a three-day event that totally gets Vancouver. Whether they like sports or not, everybody's talk- ing about it. It’s good for the city, it brings in lots of money and it’s worth it if you have to sacrifice a bit. The city really likes it and if it’s gone, 1 really think that they’ll miss it. Yeab, I think the Indy should be held again next year in Vancouver, F think that’d be great. Maybe somewhere else, though, away from Gastown. I haven’t been to the races but I've seen it on TV and they really look interesting. On the other hand they are dangerous — the teffic, and people bave been killed in it. Bat it’s a pleasure fer British Columbia to have the cars here. J think we should scrap the whole Indy car racing circuit. The environment comes first aud all these fames are coming out of the cars while , and so I think they sheuld definitely keep it because it’s - worth watching and worth pay- ing for. . i didn’t go to any of the: races but I think it should be: stil’ going on because a lot of” people go and rm hoping to: go mext year. : I think the Indy c. car races are cool.
