By Ann Hamilton Contributing Writer The Greater Vancouver Regional District Parks (GVRD) and the Outdoor Recreation Department of Capilano College. are sponsoring the event, which runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The public is invited to gather at the reader board in the parking lot of Park Royal Shopping Cen- tre’s south mall, where, for a small fee ($1.50 for adults and .75 for children), people may board a bus that will transport passengers every IS minutes to the Coho Walk’s starting point. The 7.5-kilometre walk, which begins at the Cleveland Dam and ends at Ambleside Park, takes approximately three hours to complete. Volunteers will be located en route to answer ques~ tions, and GVRD naturalists will be at the hatchery to offer infor- mation about the life cycle of fish. ° Organizers say there will be plenty of activities for everyone to enjoy. Highlights include fish-face painting, live music, spot prizes and an opportunity to visit the Capilano Suspension Bridge. The waik is offered in connec- tion with the Coho Festival, and proceeds will support the Salm- onid Enhancement program.
