Last year the music extravagan- za enjoyed enormous success, and organizers hope this year’s lineup will draw similiar crowds. _ The six-day festival (Aug. 10- 15) includes a vast array of Cana- dian musicians, highlighted by a number of interna- tionally-renowned pianists: Mon- treal’s Janina Fialkowska, Coffey, and Quebec City pianist Suzanne Beaubien-Lowe. The festival features a number of guest artists such as Israeli clar- inetist Eli Eban and American bassoon virtuoso Jesse Read. “Everyone can participate in the festival to create unique mo- ments in their lives,’’ said Ramsbottom, who notes the event should be of great interest to seniors. Evening concerts will be ex- clusively devoted to Maozart’s masterpieces. The Whistler International Mozart Festival is being hosted by Chateau Whistler Resort.
