by the following proposed bylaws will be afforded an opportunity

to be heard on the

matters contained therein at a Public Hearing to be held at the BOWEN ISLAND
COMMUNITY SCHOOL, BOWEN ISLAND, BC. ON FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 3, 1989 COM-

MENCING AT 7:30 PM.

Proposed Bylaw No. 75 would amend the “Bowen Island Zoning Bylaw No.
36, 198 1984” by deleting Secton 3.14(1), (2) and (3) in its ontirety. This, section
provided for the issuance of development permits under the authority of cer-
tain sections of the Municipal Act which are no longer valid and have been
removed from the Act. Development permits are now authorized as part of
the official community pian.

Proposed Byiaw No. 77 would amend the “Bowen Island Zoning Bylaw No.-
36, 1984" by correcting the SW. boundary of the propos
Zone extending over the water in Snug Cove. Bylaw No. 76 had a drafting er-
ror that showed the boundary as 80m when it should have been 95m.
The area subject to the new zone C-4A is shown on the following sketch:

Proposed Bylaw No. 78 would amend the “Bowen Island Zoning Bylaw No.
36, 1984” by adding 6 definitions to the bylaw. The terms defined are ones
used in proposed Bylaw No. 76 designating a new Commercial 4A Marina Zone.
The terms defined are: "Marina", “Marina service facility", “Non-commercial
maintenance and repair of boats", “Residence for short term holiday or recrea-
tional purposes", “Residential watercraft" and “Vessel”.

A copy of the proposed bylaws may be inspected at the Islands Trust Office, 747
Fort Street, Victoria, B.C. between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to
Friday inctusive, excluding statutory holidays.
For the convenience of the public only, and to to satisfy Section 957(2\y) of the
Municipal Act, an additional copy of the proposed bylaws may be inspected at the
