Dance auditions held

Clare Cunningham Dance Founda-
tion will ‘be. holding its auditions
for young dancers on March 2 at
the Queen Mary Community
School. ;

Recently,:. the youth company

performed The « ‘Snow Goose -
Winter in West -Vancouver and .-

participated in the 1986 Grandma’s
Christmas show’’at Centennial
Theatre.

Plans for 1987 include shows at
the folk, Asia Pacific and sea festi-
vals.

Dancers between the ages of
three and 30 are invited to audi-
tion; experience is not necessary.
Beginners audition at 4 p.m., ad-
vanced dancers at 5:15 p.m.

Watercolors exhibited

THE WALLS of the North Van-
couver Courthouse came alive Feb. -

18° with watercolor works by
painter Olwyn Geeling, who adds
her. own touch to ordinary sub-
jects.

Her show of 29 paintings covers

ordinary objects — houses, barns,
a tent — and has been influenced .

by extensive travels in the United
Kingdom and Iceland.

Sponsored by the North Van-
couver Community Arts Council,
the show runs to March 25. Show
hours are weekdays from 8:30 a.m.
to 4:30 p.m. at 200 East 23 St.
