By ROSS MEEK Slated for noon on December 21, ecight-man teams will round the track at Ambleside Park raising money for the West Van- couver Santa Claus Fund and the North Vancouver Christmas Bureau, The minimum contribu- tion for a team sponsorship is $400. While cight team sponsors have already signed up for the annual event, organizer Sue Hills of Sue Hills Fitness is still looking for four more team sponsors. She hopes to attract 12 teams in total, However, no runners are required, Hills said. She already has a long list of runners to fill out those teams if necessary. The deadline for entering a team is November 15. Municipai candidates to speak THE NORTH Shore Neighbourhood House is sponsoring an ail-candidates meeting for North Van- couver school beard and city council incumbents and candidates for the November 16 civic election. All candidates will have the opportunity to make a short, opening statement, after which, questions will be taken from the audience. The meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, ‘November 7 at the North . Shore Neighbourhood House, 225 East Znd Street. Earls Restaurant, Crest Re- alty, Bell Realty, Sutton Re- alty, Intrawest Properties, have agreed to supply Superstar Athletic Footwear, Sunshine Cabs and the North Shore News. While many of the teams are highly competitive, the philosophy behind the race is to gel everybody cooperating for a good cause, says Hills. This includes registration and a Christmas grab bag, where non-runners can contribute toward the Christmas funds and win prizes, to take place before the race.
