in charge
of schools

LIONS GATE Hospital will
lead off its Fall/85 lecture/
discussion series, Effective
Parenting for Positive Sex-
uality, with a film by Drs.
Beryl and Noam Chernick en-
titled Sexuality and
Communication.

The husband and wife
team from London, Ontario
are well-known for their
work in communication and
sex counselling. The film
deals with the medical and
‘emotional aspects of sexuali-
ty and makes use of the me-
dium of role playing.

The one-hour film will be
followed by a_ discussion
period led by Dr. Marlene
Hunter.

A NUMBER of Wort Van-
couver elementary and sec-
ondary schools began the
school year with a change of
principals and  vice-prin-
cipals.

A major change is the ap-
pointment of an out-of-
district principal for Hillside
Secondary.

Former principal of Mis-
sion Junior Secondary
Dallas Christofoli assumed
her duties at Hillside on July
1.

Previous Hillside prin-
cipal, Don Fletcher, is now
District Administrator for
the West Vancouver School
District.

Other changes at the sec-
ondary level are the ap-
pointments of Gary Armour
to West Van Secondary and
Wayne Rowley to Sentinel
Secondary as vice-principals.

The following appoint-
ments were made at the
elementary school level:
Gleneagles - Roger Fox; Ir-
win Park - Art Heine; Lions
Bay - Roger Fox; Hollyburn
and Pauline Johnson - Norm
Ashcroft; Ridgeview
Elementary - Hazel
Williams; West Bay Elemen-
tary - Dave Weightman;
Westcot Elementary -Arnie
Smith.

Appointed as vice-prin-
cipals at the elementary level
