4 — Sunday, April 12, 1998 — North Shore News Man hit with hammer in attack A 28-year-old heroin addict allegedly struck his father over the head with a sledge hammer on April 6 in the 300- block of East 21st Street. North Vancouver RCMP Const. Tom Seaman declined to release any names of people involved in the incident. Police say the son took some money front his father’s waliet while the 66-vear-old man bled trom the sledge hammer attack. The heroin addict's: mother ted, bur was unable to stop him from leaving.
