Dear Editor:

Perhaps my experience of a
recent hit and run will enforce the
seriousness involved in this type of
accident, whether you hit a car or
witness it.

On March 24, somebody backed
into my black Cavalier at Park
Royal's south mall.

The driver hit my lower driver's
side panel. They hit with such force
that the panel pushed back prevent-
ing me from opening the driver’s
door.

There was no nole on my car,
nothing but the dent feft on my car
and in my pocket book.

There are two things that € find
hard to believe. First is how could
somebody not accept cesponsibility

for their mistake. Second, this ucci-
dent happened between J p.m. and
4:30 p.m. Was there nobody that
witnessed this accident who could
have reported this to the police’?

Asa result, [had to pay the $350
deductible. | guess this wouldn't be
so bad if [ worked full time.
However, (am a full-time student
and financiag my own education, |
never would have imagined | would
be financing someone else's cow-
ardliness.

Next time anyone is involved or
sees a hit and run, please think
about the financial burden you are
putting on the innocent party
invalved,
